Dyerbreed Photoshoot by Pazuzu

A couple of Sundays ago, my band was asked to do a photo shoot for the charity gig / ban competition at Kenyalang Park cinema benefit of the National Cancer Society of Malaysia on 21st June 2008. The following are the results of the photo shoot:







On the location of the photo shoot, which took place around the Ang Cheng Ho area, I saw for myself an example of the disparities of societal income in Malaysia. Note the photo below. in the background, on the top floor of the building, lived a bunch of people, looking totally broke. There must have been at least 10 of them up there in an apartment with not more than 2 to 3 rooms. They were peering at us curiously, wondering what a bunch of reasonably well dressed young people were doing in this squalid back alley. I felt like a poser, invading their territory to try to capture the "dirt and grime" of rock n' roll. Really, what are we all bitching about? Just look at how others live and put yourselves in the shoes of others and you will see just how good you have it.

One thing about the BMW. To the right of the BMW is actually the back entrance of the Oriental Hotel (not pictured), which, really, is nothing more than a shabby and run down inn housing whores. The guy was picking up a whore. She came down, got into his car and they drove off. It really got me wondering. You can afford a BMW, but:

a.) You can't afford a more expensive whore?

b.) You can't pick chicks up from pubs, etc? Come on bro. Free pussy is everywhere. Kuching gals nowadays have the sexual morals of guys. I find Kuching guys more conservative that Kuching gals. Not all, but many Kuching gals are also materialistic and superficial. A beamer is a meal ticket for pussy bro. Try it out. You don't need the whores.
